Beginning his 15 year career in 1988 at age 17, Pete Sampras went on to win a record number of 14 Grand Slam mens singles titles and reached World No. 1 ranking for the first time in April 1993. Sampras won four consecutive titles from 1997 through 2000 to become the most succesful male player in Wimbledon history and in 2003 became the first player to serve over 1000 aces in a season. These tremendous achievements placed Sampras in the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2007.
